“The Association is established for the advancement of Botany, to promote and uphold the status of this profession in all sectors of the population, and to perform such functions as may be desirable for the attainment of these objectives. The Association does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, creed or class, and is committed to removing any such barriers to the exercise of the profession.”

Financials
As from 2018 audited financial statements are prepared at the end of each year by Mr Riaan Krüger, Professional Accountant at R and R Tax Consultants (PTY) LTD, located at Liberte 5, Oude Libertasweg, Stellenbosch, 7600. Members can make arrangements to view the financial statements by contacting the secretary (SAABsecretary@gmail.com).
